“If your child’s cord blood unit fails to engraft post transplant, LifeLine Cryogenics will provide the owner of the cells, $10,000 toward the cost of securing an alternative stem cell source, if medically needed.”

† Engraftment is defined as achieving a peripheral blood absolute neutrophil count of 500 per microliter for three consecutive measurements with the first three measurements occurring within 100 days of transplantation.

Exclusions:
The Quality Product Guarantee does not cover the following:

  • Cord Blood Stem Cells collected using kits and processing other than Lifeline Cryogenics.
  • Transplantation of cord blood with less than 2X10(7) total nucleated cells per kilogram.
  • Transplantation of cord blood with less than 1X 10(5) cd34 per kilogram.
  • Combined transplants with supplemental stem cell sources (e.g. peripheral blood, bone marrow, dual or tri unit cord blood units).
  • Transplants outside the biological immediate family members (biological family members defined as parents and siblings genetically related and donor).
  • Experimental transplantation as currently defined as, cell expansion, laboratory or positive or negative cell selection: gene therapy.

Lifeline Cryogenics Quality Product Guarantee is not available to:
Individuals whose residence is in Missouri, Oklahoma or Rhode Island. Individuals whose cord blood stem cell collection, storage or transplant fees are paid in full or part by Medicare, this includes third party payers in Massachusetts and Michigan.

Documentation:
To apply for the Quality Product Guarantee, a signed and notarized statement from the primary transplant physician confirming the failure of engraftment as described above will be required. Lifeline Cryogenics reserves the right to request laboratory reports.

Disclaimer:
Quality Product Guarantee does not apply to HLA matching for family members or long term cure. Success of transplant therapy is dependent on additional factors outside the transplant itself.
